Writing: Swimming!
Today during lunch time most of Room 7 went for a swim. It was very exciting for me because we got to have free time and it was my favourite part of the day! Everyone got ready and then we all went into the pool. We had to take the cover off first. We all jumped in the pool and started having fun.
Eve through a quarter of the rest of the class was not swimming. They had to stand outside the tent and watch us have fun. It wasn’t really cold at all, it was actually warmer than yesterday's swim. We all went on eachother shoulders and we all played with the Swimming Noodles. It was really, really fun! We attacked each other and we also just went under the water.
It was all fun.. until Mrs Tui told us to get out of the pool. None of us did but we had to. So we all hopped out and then we all got changed. Today was a really fun day for me because I was with my friends having a heap of fun! My highlight was going on other people's shoulders because it felt really, really awesome. After the swim I felt extremely happy because I had a lot of fun. I hope that we can swim on Monday again.

Today for Inquiry Learning we had to create a presentation about a certain body of water. So it could be a lake, a river or a stream. But we had to partner up, my partner was my sister Sonya. We did the Gulf of Mexico because we found it very interesting. So we had to identify the different dangers in the Gulf of Mexico. The we presented it to the class, I hope that you enjoy!
God Strand: God Is...
For Religious Education today we had to draw our hand and then right in the palm God is. Then in the fingers write all the things that we thought God was to us. In case you can not see the words they say: Humble, Loving, Caring, Forgiving and Kind. Then we got to decorate it. We are doing this because it is part of our God Strand.

Looking at the Poster: I am David
This illustration is a picture from the book I am David. It is a picture of David looking at the poster about the circus and wishing that he could be able to go to the circus. But sadly he can not, for he needs to avoid people and big crowds.
My Prayer To The Holy Spirit
Dear Almighty Holy Spirit,
Please give me the confidence and courage throughout the year, please help me to achieve my goals, please lead me in the right choices and follow Jesus’ footsteps.. Please help me to have wisdom just like how Deborah, Isaiah and King Solomon had.
I want to thank you for guiding us through the ups and downs, thank you for filling my heart with the fires of love. Thank you for helping not just me, but other people who are struggling in the world. And I also thank you for bringing a smile to my face, every single day.
Amen

Silhoutte Art Work
For Art we painted a sunset background, with a silhouette figure of a soldier. We first started off with the sunset. We used different paint colours and mixed them together to have a very vibrant sunset colour. Everyone had different sunsets at the end but I think that they were all beautiful. Then we let our paintings dry and looked for silhouettes of soldiers online.
We printed them out and cut them, onto a black piece of paper. Then after our paintings were dry we stuck the silhouttes on our painting. The results were worth all the work. This is our teachers painting, but she wasn't able to take a photo of my art work.
We made these art works to go with our Anzac Wall.
The Escape: I am David
In my previous post I enxplained about a book that we have been reading a book named I am David. So for our reading activity we had to illustrate a scene from the book. My scene was when David stole the bucket of Food from some Shepherds while they were sleeping.
